Institut IGH leads a consortium which will design the express road Mostar – Široki Brijeg – Croatian State Borderline, Section Polog – Croatian State Borderline

Institut IGH, d.d. as the Leading Partner in the Consortium with IGH d.o.o. Mostar, Integra d.o.o. Mostar and GEOCON d.o.o. Čitluk, signed a Contract with  JP Autoceste Federacije BiH d.o.o. (Motorways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ltd) for the development of the Conceptual and Main design of the Express Road Mostar-Široki Brijeg-Croatian State Borderline, Section Polog-Croatian State Borderline (40,5 km long), valued app. 29,9 million HRK (7.765.911,00 BAM).

Institut IGH d.d. and Partners have a period of 18 months to develop the Conceptual and Main design of the Express Road Polog – Široki Brijeg – Croatian State Borderline,  to undertake all investigation works needed for the Preliminary design, to elaborate the Feasibility Study, Environmental Impact Study as well as other Studies defined in the Contract.

The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2016 adopted the Framework Transport Strategy of Bosnia and Herzegovina whereby the Express Road Mostar North- Široki Brijeg – Croatian State Borderline is outlined as a priority section.

The planned Express Road Mostar North – Široki Brijeg – Croatian State Borderline will decrease the traffic load on the Mostar road network, at the same time serving as the North Bypass of Mostar.  A direct link to the Corridor Vc Motorway will allow the traffic from the Mostar North bypass to be directed to the town of Široki Brijeg and the Grude municipality, and ultimately to the Croatian State Borderline where it will connect to the Croatian road network. From Polog the express road connects to the South Bypass of Mostar, allowing for a good road connectivity of the West Herzegovina County with the present road network, primarily Corridor Vc.

Among the significant contracts for Institut IGH d.d. in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the Contract for Supervision services during construction of the TPP Banovići, signed last year, a contract valued app. HRK 15,7 million.  We must also mention the Contract for Supervision of construction works on the Bridge over the Sava River near Gradiška, valued over HRK 7 million.

This is the sixth significant contract signed by IGH in the recent period. Namely, we also signed several contracts with the Croatian Roads for supervision services during construction and reconstruction works on three roads, valued HRK 12,3 million, a Contract with  the Rijeka – Zagreb Motorway Company for supervision services during the rehabilitation of the Krk Bridge, valued over HRK 1 million  as well as the Contract for supervision services during the rehabilitation of the railway line Zagreb Zapadni kolodvor (Zagreb West Station) – Savski Marof, valued HRK 5,3 million.*

IGH currently has over one thousand active contracts encompassing a wide range of services, primarily in civil engineering, establishing IGH the leading engineering company in Croatia and the region.
